Henry Kaestner
Cofounder
Henry is the Executive Chairman of Bandwidth.com, a local telecommunications company listed by INC Magazine as the 4th fastest growing privately held company in the country during the years 2004-2008. Prior to co-founding Bandwidth.com with his partner, David Morken, Henry was a principal in Chapel Hill Brokers, Chapel Hill Broadband and Bandwidth International. In addition to his work on DurhamCares, Henry is a member of the Local Outreach Committee at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Durham, is on boards and involved in several Durham based charities and is a co-founder (along with David) of MinistrySpotlight.org, highlighting Christian word and deed ministries worldwide. Henry is an elder in the Presbyterian Church of America and lives in Durham with his wife Kimberley and their 3 sons.
David Morken
Cofounder
David is the Chairman and President of Bandwidth.com, the local telecommunications company that he founded with Henry Kaestner. Prior to his involvement with Bandwidth.com, David was a principal in several internet based companies including efiling.com. He is a former Judge Advocate General in the Marine Corps, a member of the Chapel Hill Bible Church and currently lives in Chapel Hill along with his wife Chrishelle and their children.
Heather Jones
Executive Director
Heather joined DurhamCares after several years in Operations and Human Resources with Triangle companies including OpenSite Technologies, Siebel Systems, and Durham-based advertising agency, McKinney. Heather received a bachelor’s degree from UNC-CH in Journalism and Mass Communication and lives in Durham. She volunteers weekly with adult women recovering from addiction and moving out of homelessness and is also involved with several South African charities. She is a member of Church of the Good Shepherd in Durham.
Matt Miglarese
Program Director
Matt graduated as a public service scholar from UNC-Chapel Hill with a double major in Public Policy and Political Science. After graduation, Matt lived and worked in Durham reviewing grants at the Duke Medical Center and doing community outreach at the Summit Church. Matt recently returned from Central Asia, where he spent two years working for an adventure travel company and volunteering with local NGOs. He and his wife Lauren are members of the Summit Church.

Jessica Metcalf
Special Projects Manager
Jessica graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a major in Journalism and Mass Communication. While at UNC, Jessica volunteered her time Relay for Life and Cornerstone (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ). She also interned in the public relations department of Howard, Merrell & Partners, a full-service advertising and communication agency in Raleigh. She lives in Durham and is a member of the Summit Church, where she volunteers weekly in the children’s ministry.
Melinda Orr
Volunteer Match Specialist (Volunteer)
Melinda recently semi-retired after 12 years coordinating health services research studies at the Durham VA and Duke University Medical Centers. Now working part-time in VA research, Melinda enjoys visiting her grandchildren in Florida and finds time to volunteer in the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Duke Hospital and with DurhamCares as a dedicated member of the Volunteer Matching Team. She and her husband Todd are members of Church of the Good Shepherd in Durham where she serves on the Board of the Women’s Leadership Team.
Wendy Clark
Board Director
Wendy is the founder and CEO of Carpe Diem Cleaning, Inc., the largest locally-owned residential cleaning company in the RTP area. Along with her active role in Carpe Diem Cleaning, Wendy is the co-founder and now sole proprietor of Lewis & Clark Community Development which is a company dedicated to economic and social restoration in Northeast Central Durham. Additionally, Wendy serves on the boards of several local ministries and community groups as well as coordinating the National Day of Prayer efforts for the City of Durham. A resident of Durham for fourteen years, Wendy has chosen to reside in the Northeast Central Durham community since 2000 with the belief that you can can the most impact by investing relationally and modeling change from the inside, out. She attends Church of the Good Shepherd in Durham.
Hubert Davis
Board Director
Hubert Davis, a former professional basketball player, is a college basketball analyst for ESPN. Hubert attended the University of North Carolina and played for the legendary Coach Dean Smith. After 12 years in the NBA, he retired in Chapel Hill, NC, and began a new career as an analyst. Hubert is passionate about college athletics, but moreso about connecting with college students as they pursue their God-given talents. Hubert is a frequent guest speaker for various Christian organizations on the campuses of local universities. He serves on several boards for local organizations and schools in the area. He lives in Chapel Hill with his wife Leslie and their 3 children.

Bo Harrison
Board Director
Bo is a Durham architect with a particular interest in the relationship between the built environment and the bonds of community. A native of Durham, he was educated at the Phillips Exeter Academy, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA- International Studies), and North Carolina State University (Masters of Architecture). Bo’s appreciation for and involvement with Habitat for Humanity dates back to his days as an undergrad at UNC, and in recent years he’s had the great pleasure of helping coordinate two different new home sponsorships by the Church of the Good Shepherd in Durham. Bo, his wife Lisa, and their four children currently attend Blacknall Presbyterian Church.

Jimbo Huckabee
Board Director
Jimbo, a Durham native, is a Wealth Management Advisor and the Managing Director for Northwestern Mutual’s Durham and Chapel Hill office. Within our community, Jimbo is currently serving as a board member and committee member for several local organizations, including St. Stephens Episcopal Church, where he is on the Vestry. Formerly, he was involved with the Oak Ranch, an organization helping to provide Christ-centered homes for at-risk boys in central North Carolina, as well as various organizations within the UNC-Chapel Hill systems.

Andy Marino
Board Director
Andy is an investment consultant with long experience delivering comprehensive and integrated investment solutions to both private clients and institutional investors. Essentially acting as the clients’ “outsourced chief investment officer,” he is responsible for the overall investment direction and allocation of client assets. Andy was previously Senior Vice President at an independent investment firm in Durham and also served as the Western U.S. Director of Investment Advisory Services with Arthur Andersen in Phoenix. Earlier in his career, he served institutional investors as an Investment Consultant at Wyatt Investment Consulting in Atlanta and as an Investment Analyst at SEI Corporation in his hometown of Boston. Andy lives in Chapel Hill and also serves on the Finance Committee at The Trinity School of Durham & Chapel Hill.
Craig Merrigan
Board Director
Craig is CEO and co-founder of Spotlight Solar, a pioneer in aesthetic solar systems. Craig is a career marketer, veteran of leadership roles at IBM, Lenovo, Quaker. As VP at Lenovo personal computers, Craig led design and branding, and a global launch into the consumer market. He founded Inventive Branding consulting and has provided services to the solar industry. Craig is also a board member with Young Life of Durham and Chapel Hill, and a member of St. Thomas More church.
