You already know there are more than 26,000 seniors living in Durham, and you already know half of those seniors live alone and are isolated. Isolation can have negative ramifications in a senior’s life. That’s why we’re asking you to do your part to support our seniors. Be a guide, and help seniors navigate services and information at the Durham Center for Senior Life. Be someone’s support network, and volunteer with DCSL’s Telephone Reassurance program or deliver meals through Meals on Wheels. Support a caregiver through A Helping Hand. Consider getting involved at Senior PharmAssist. Lastly, be a good neighbor and meet seniors in our community.
