Durham Habitat for Humanity has many options for you to get involved in building Durham’s next affordable house. You can also volunteer your time to refurbish or build a new affordable home for a family in need.

Create Affordable Rentals

Durham Community Land Trustees needs your financial donations to create more affordable rentals in Durham. They also accept land donations, on which affordable housing can be built.

Create Affordable Homes

Donate to create more affordable homes with Durham Habitat for Humanity. A new house costs $30,000, which can be built with the community’s help.  New homeowners must pay a mortgage to help pay for their home.

Improve Financial Literacy

Reinvestment Partners helps with taxpayer assistance, the homebuyer experience and housing counseling. Donate to keep their first-time homebuyer classes active and to help homebuyers learn about the homebuyer experience.

    Tens of thousands of families are without an affordable, safe place to rent/own in Durham. We’re looking for big-picture solutions for this issue. It seems insurmountable, but with your feedback, we can create more affordable housing units.
