A week of awareness and action on mass incarceration

WEEKEND OF FEBRUARY 3-4: WORSHIP AND MASS INCARCERATION

Congregations are invited to remember those impacted by mass incarceration and incorporate themes of mass incarceration in worship.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6TH, 7PM (DOORS OPEN AT 6:30PM): BETTER TOGETHER: STORIES FROM JUBILEE HOME
CAROLINA THEATRE, CINEMA 1

Join Jubilee Home for a time of hearing and telling stories of incarceration.
Thursday, February 8th
5-6 pm: Solitary Confinement Exhibit and Incarceration Education Fair
6pm: Prayer Vigil and March to Durham County Jail
Duke Memorial United Methodist Church, 504 W Chapel Hill Street, Durham, NC

Gather with community members to learn, pray, and march. At 5pm, join us for End Solitary NC’s Exhibit Debut and “Incarceration in Durham Education Fair,” highlighting local organizations and UNC’s Civil Rights Clinic, all of whom are engaged with issues at Durham County Correctional. At 6pm we will hold a prayer vigil and then march to Durham County Detention Center. The exhibit and vigil will be held at Duke Memorial UMC before the march begins.
